What is Vacation Hold? Is this the old Summer Break program?

Yes, this is the service formerly known as Summer Break.  We revamped the program to make it easier and more streamline for our customers.

Vacation Hold allows the customer to place their services on hold if they’re going to be away from home for an extended period of time.  It’s a better option than disconnecting the account completely and is popular with our customers who have vacation homes in other locations or who travel, and the best part it’s one low fee which includes the continues rental of your router, at no charge while your on Vacation Hold.

How much does it cost, are there any reactivation fees?

It’s $10 a month.  The $10 a month will replace your monthly internet cost until you return from Vacation Hold.  Vacation  hold program pauses the normal billing during the customer’s absence. 

There is NO reactivation fee, and the best part! You can leave Vacation Hold on as long as you are away, just remember to keep your auto pay active on your account.

What are the requirements and eligibility?
    1. The customer must have active service for a minimum of 90 days.
    2. The customer may request to turn Vacation Hold on or off up to 90 days in advance.
    3. Customers must own the lot and no one else will be using the location while they are gone.
    4. Unit must be stationary/immovable.
    5. Customers cannot travel with our equipment.
    6. If the equipment is installed on a shed/tripod/pole and not on the RV, they can use the Vacation Hold Service.

 

Can I use my home security devices while on Vacation Hold?

Yes! Your Vacation Hold Service, still allows you to use your home security devices that require an internet connection. Your internet connection is never turned off!
